چکیده

The Navier-Stokes equations for the motion of compressible, viscous fluids in the half-space R+ with the no-slip boundary condition are studied. Given a constant equilibrium state (ρ̄, 0), we construct a global in time, regular weak solution, provided that the initial data ρ0,u0 are close to the equilibrium state when measured by the norm |ρ0 − ρ̄|L∞ + |u0|H1 and discontinuities of ρ0 decay near the boundary of R+. 0.

A Model Problem for the Motion of a Compressible, Viscous Fluid Flow with the No-Slip Boundary Condition

We consider the system of Navier-Stokes equations as a model of the motion of compressible, viscous, “pressureless” fluids in the domain Ω = R+ with the no-slip boundary condition. We construct a global in time regular weak solution, provided that the initial density, ρ0, is bounded and the magnitude of the initial velocity u0 is suitably restricted in the semi-norm ‖ √ ρ0(·)u0(·)‖L2(Ω) + ‖∇u0(...

Dynamics of the density discontinuity interface in compressible viscous flows. A transversal contact problem

The Navier-Stokes equations for the motion of compressible, viscous flows with the no-slip boundary condition are considered. We study the problem of determining the evolution of the interface of discontinuity of a piece-wise smooth density when the interface is in transversal contact with the boundary of the domain. A unique global solution near a static constant equilibrium is constructed. Th...

A Unified Wall Boundary Treatment for Viscous and Inviscid Flows in the CE/SE Method

Abstract. In the setting of the CE/SE method, a new and unified wall boundary treatment for the Navier-Stokes and Euler Equations is proposed. In essence, the shear stress exerted on the fluid by a wall is modeled as a source term as a part of local space-time flux conservation in the vicinity of a wall boundary. When the fluid is inviscid, the source term vanishes and the boundary condition re...

A Composite Finite Difference Scheme for Subsonic Transonic Flows (RESEARCH NOTE).

This paper presents a simple and computationally-efficient algorithm for solving steady two-dimensional subsonic and transonic compressible flow over an airfoil. This work uses an interactive viscous-inviscid solution by incorporating the viscous effects in a thin shear-layer. Boundary-layer approximation reduces the Navier-Stokes equations to a parabolic set of coupled, non-linear partial diff...

Vibrational characteristics of a spinning thermally affected cylindrical shell conveying viscous fluid flow carrying spring-mass systems

In this article, the vibrational behavior of a spinning cylindrical thick shell carrying spring- mass systems and conveying viscos fluid flow under various temperature distributions is investigated. This structure rotates about axial direction and the formulations include the coriolis and centrifugal effects. In addition, this system is conveying viscous fluid, and the related force is calculat...
